Summer has finally arrived and it doesn’t get much better than listening to live music under the stars. Anderson County has a ton of great outdoor music concerts coming your way all summer long! And to make it even better, all concerts are family friendly and free!
Concert on the Commons – Every Friday night in Norris
The outdoor music series, Concert on the Commons, returns for its tenth season. Enjoy a weekly line-up of free family entertainment each Friday night beginning at 7:00 pm at the Norris Commons. The line-up will offer a variety of musical styles and genres with artists drawn from near and far. Take a lawn chair or blanket, pack a cooler with snacks and drinks and head to Norris with the family for a fun night! For more information, please visit the Concert on the Commons Facebook page.

Jazz on the Hill – First Saturday of each month at Green McAdoo Cultural Center
The Green McAdoo Cultural Organization will be hosting a Jazz on the Hill concert series on the first Saturday of the month from June through September. This event is free and open to the public. You are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Performance times will be 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Summer Sessions – Saturday evenings in Oak Ridge
ORNL Federal Credit Union is presenting a series of free summer concerts called the Summer Sessions. Acts will include bluegrass and Americana bands from throughout the region. The first show, on Monday, June 4 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Oak Ridge’s Bissell Park, will kick-off the city’s annual Secret City Festival and feature the bands Kukuly and Gypsy Fuego and The Ridge City Ramblers.
Future concerts will be held on the following Saturdays: July 21, August 18, September 8, and October 6. All concerts will be held outdoors at the pavilion in Bissell Park, 1401 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge, and are free to the public.
The community is invited to bring their lawn chairs and their friends and family for an evening of free Americana roots music. Oak Ridge’s own Crafter’s Brew will be on-site with craft beer along with local food truck vendors.
Sundown Saturday’s at Stardust Marina on Norris Lake
Stardust Marina on Norris Lake offers “Sundown Saturday’s” with live music every Saturday night from 6:00 – 10:00 pm on their patio. Enjoy a beautiful view of the lake while listening to great music! Plan on having dinner, the marina’s restaurant, Harbor Grill, offers delicious appetizers, entrees and a variety of craft beer. Click here to see the band line-up.
