There are so many wonderful things about fall in Anderson County, Tennessee. The sights, sounds, smells, and one of our favorites – the flavors! Here are a few of our favorite places to experience Anderson County’s fall flavors.

The Soup Kitchen – Nothing says fall quite like a hearty bowl of soup. At The Soup Kitchen in Oak Ridge, you have your pick of 8 different styles of soup, 4-6 choices of homemade bread, sandwiches, desserts, and more. The best part is everything is made in house from scratch each day! The Bacon Cheddar soup is one of our favorites!

Museum of Appalachia – You haven’t experienced Anderson County without a visit to the Restaurant at the Museum of Appalachia. Your taste buds will be transported back to mamaw’s kitchen and you’ll be embraced with southern hospitality. Each week brings a new line-up of seasonal favorites, so be sure to check their Facebook page for the weekly menu.

Vega Café and Smokehaus – Anderson County is made up of small towns, but Vega Café and Smokehaus has brought big city flavor to us, and we couldn’t be more proud. Chef John Fletcher has a vision for his dishes and really creates a masterpiece of flavors. If you’re looking for chef-inspired cuisine, you have to try Vega this fall and every other season of the year!

Dean’s Restaurant and Bakery - Located in Historic Jackson Square, Oak Ridge, Dean’s serves brunch, lunch and dinner. They offer an incredible selection of southern classic dishes like turkey and dressing and delicious pot roast. There is also a full service bakery on site that serves mouth watering desserts.
