There are so many talented artisans right here in Anderson County, Tennessee that we wanted to highlight a few people and places to showcase their talent.

 

Appalachian Arts Craft Center – The Center is filled with one-of-a-kind arts and crafts many of which are handcrafted right there in the center workshop. Shoppers will find handcrafted pottery, rugs, jewelry, paintings, and much more! There are also a wide variety of classes offered for beginners all the way to master crafters. When you visit the Appalachian Arts Craft Center be sure to visit the studio downstairs and see where much of the art takes place!

• Farmhouse Furniture – Rob and Kim Henry have something special at Farmhouse Furniture and we are excited to share it with you. When you walk into their expansive showroom in Clinton, Tennessee, you’re greeted with beautiful, handcrafted, solid wood furniture and a large variety of home décor. You’ll need a minute to take it all in, it’s that gorgeous! The quality of the woodworking is a sight to behold. Beware, you’ll want to redecorate your whole home after visiting Farmhouse Furniture. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

• Oak Ridge Art Center – The Art Center has programs for artists and art enthusiasts alike. They have a world-class art collection and a rotating schedule of exhibitions in their galleries.  The exhibitions emphasize the work of local and regional artists but are extremely diverse.  In addition, they offer classes and workshops. The Art Center is a great place to take home a unique piece of Tennessee art.

And if you’re an artist yourself, be sure to check out Clinch River Yarn Co for a vibrant selection of yarns suitable for knitting, crocheting, and weaving projects.  The store is locally owned and operated in Clinton. You can enjoy a wide range of classes, as well as weaving and spinning get-togethers and fun trunk shows featuring local designers.
