Join in as the community comes together for Rocky Top’s annual Christmas tree lighting on Thursday, December 1st at 6:30 p.m. Hear the Christmas Story told by Pastor Wayne Phillips and Christmas Carols performed by the Lake City Elementary School Music Makers.
The Rocky Top Christmas Parade will take place on Friday, December 2nd beginning at 7:00 p.m. and runs along Main Street from Lake City Middle School to McDonalds. This year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas.”
December 2nd the City of Clinton will hold a “Chilly” Cook-off and Tree Lighting from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Clinton Community Center. Enjoy chili, bowling, corn hole, and a visit from Santa. The fun continues in Clinton with the annual Christmas Parade in Historic Downtown on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 6:00 p.m. This year’s theme is A Storybook Christmas.
Join in for the first annual Christmas at the Farm at Christopher's Overlook, located at 261 Hackworth Lane in Clinton on December 4th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Enjoy a fun day with your family as you select a Christmas tree from the farm and shop the holiday market vendors for presents, sweet treats and more.
Get your sweet tooth ready for the Christmas Cookie Crawl on December 10 in downtown Clinton. This free event takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is fun for the whole family. There will be street vendors, great sales in the downtown shops, free cookies, and the kids will have a chance to meet Santa, Mrs. Clause and the Grinch. And did we mention FREE cookies?
Come out and enjoy Tasty Tuesday Food Truck Christmas Edition on December 6th and 13th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in downtown. Christmas music will be playing as some of the best food trucks in the area will be serving delicious food and many of the downtown shops will have extended shopping hours.
Rediscover the true meaning of Christmas with a drive thru Live Nativity on December 20th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Little Ponderosa Zoo and Rescue.
A Candlelight Christmas at the Museum of Appalachia draws people from near and far. Tour the museum village by candlelight, enjoy Appalachian Christmas stories, drink hot cider, sing carols and experience the beauty and simplicity of a pioneer Christmas. The event will take place on December 9th and 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are required.
Join us for some holiday fun on Dec 10th from 2:00-6:00 pm for an all new holiday event, the Norris Winter Festival. Enjoy live music, kid's activities, local artisans, food and treats, and even a visit from Santa! The Winter Festival will be held at the Norris Pavilion in Norris. A parade will follow the event beginning at 6:00 pm.
Watch as the city of Norris is lit up with the most beautiful Christmas lights and décor as Norris Shines December 12th through the 26th.
Norris Dam State Park presents Christmas in the Park on Friday, December 16th from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lenoir Museum, Gristmill and Threshing Barn. This family friendly event will allow you some last minute shopping in their gift shop, live music, holiday crafts and a pie auction that you don’t want to miss!
The Oak Ridge Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on Thursday, December 1st. The tree, a Norway Spruce, was presented by the Woman’s Club to the City and has become part of a growing community tradition. Participants gather at the AK Bissell Park Pavilion for seasonal music and light refreshments beginning at 6:30 pm. After the program, participants walk to the Commemorative Walk on the east side of the Oak Ridge Library parking lot for a brief ceremony ending with the lighting of the tree.
Holiday Market in Jackson Square will take place on Saturday’s throughout the month of December (3rd, 10th & 17th) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Jackson Square. There will be local vendors, including jewelry, soaps, plants, produce, toys, baked goods and more.
Oak Ridge will host their Christmas parade on Saturday, December 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree.” The route will go down Lafayette to Oak Ridge Turnpike.
