Music at Museum of Appalachia in Anderson County TNAt the Museum of Appalachia, the 4th of July is celebrated a little differently. The Independence Day Celebration and Anvil Shoot celebrates by shooting an anvil into the air, just like people did back in the day. Rural communities would shoot anvils into the air for special events and holidays to celebrate. Not only will an anvil be shot into the air, historic demonstrations such as spinning, weaving, and black smithing will be shown. There will be live music, a bell ringing ceremony, and so much more. When you purchase tickets, you will also get grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and churned ice cream in addition to the access to the rest of the celebration.

2. Oak Ridge Community Band Independence Day Concert
