1. Days of the Pioneer Antique Show at the Museum of Appalachia
If you love primitive antiques, then you won’t want to miss this two-day event in Anderson County! On Sept. 13 and 14, head to the Days of the Pioneer Antique Show at the Museum of Appalachia. This show features more than 60 of the finest selection of 18th and 19th century antique dealers. During the show, you will get to see traditional craftsmen demonstrating their various talents. Tickets for the show also include a tour of the museum.
2. Market Night in Historic Downtown Clinton
What’s better than visiting Historic Downtown Clinton? Visiting Historic Downtown Clinton on Market Night! On Sept 13. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can spend the evening browsing all the stores, as well as the local vendors that line the street. Historic Downtown Clinton is known for having more than 35 stores that feature various antiques and collectibles. There will also be food trucks, ice cream and music at the event. You can even bring your four-legged friend along with you!
Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! This event was made for you. WENTWindrock brings together Nissan truck and SUV owners from all over the United States from Sept. 16 through Sept. 21. It started as the National Xterra Meet in 2011 to showcase the Nissan Xterra, then in 2014 the rally switched to allow all Nissan trucks and SUVs to attend. There is a trail for everyone, from beginners to experts. Over the course of 5 days, you can participate in events like the night run, a rock challenge, a raffle night and more!
4. Southeast Triple Crown Enduro
Windrock Bike Park will host the Southeast Triple Crown Enduro again this year! This regional level endurance race will draw downhill mountain bike riders from around the southeast to compete. Spectators are welcome to watch the action! Practice runs will take place on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28. The race is Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10 am. Come out and watch the competitors race down one of the most challenging courses in the south.
5. Explore the Area
There are plenty of exciting events for you to attend during September, but we suggest you take time to explore the area while you’re here as well! Anderson County offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun, like boating, hiking, fishing and camping. September is a great month for being outside because the weather is starting to cool down a little from the hot summer temperatures.
