1. Water Sports

It’s known for having one of the best 2,000-meter rowing courses in the country, and thousands of rowers go there every year to train and compete. There are even classes offered if you’d like to give rowing a try. Water-skiing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle boarding, and kayaking are a few of the other exciting water sports that you’ll see people doing at the lake. You can even rent kayaks, stand up paddleboards, paddle boats, and canoes from Adventures Outdoors if you don’t feel like bringing your own.

2. Fishing

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) stocks fish into the reservoir every year. The musky, a sport fish native to Tennessee, is one of the most popular fish that people look for and catch. Melton Hill Lake currently holds the record for the largest musky in the state of Tennessee, weighing in at 43 pounds and 14 ounces. You might also come across white crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, skipjack, and herring while you’re out fishing on the lake.

This trail is very versatile, and you can often find quite a few people walking, running, and even roller skating along it as well.
