Windrock Park is the largest privately-owned off-road recreation area in the country with over 72,000 acres that include off-highway vehicle trails, hiking and mountain biking trails, a campground, cabins, and various types of events throughout the year! Trails are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You will see many picturesque views of East Tennessee’s mountains and valleys and it is the perfect place to see the Buffalo Mountain Wind Farm which is comprised of windmills spanning 395 feet. E

ntry onto Windrock Park property requires a land use permit. Windrock Park is located in Oliver Springs, just northwest of Knoxville with convenient access to both I-75 and I-40. Windrock Park can also be accessed from the city of Rocky Top, located at exits 128 and 129 off Interstate 75. Recent legislation allows ATV's to be on the road in Rocky Top, making it convenient for riders. To learn more about this, click here.

The Windrock Park trail system includes over 310 miles of maintained off-highway vehicle trails for riders of all skill levels and open to all types of vehicles. Windrock Park is also home to East Tennessee's best downhill mountain bike course and some amazing cross-country trails as well. There is also a 1.9 mile nature trail that allows guests to experience the scenery of Windrock Park by taking a stroll through the woods.

The Windrock Park Campground is located on 259 acres with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. The campground includes: Deluxe cabins, primitive cabins, RV sites with full hook-ups, primitive camp sites, 2 bath houses and 2 pavilions. Reservations are recommended. Windrock Park is home to Windrock Hollow, a 20 acre premier event site that includes a 50'x 200' mud bog, a 30'x 400' dirt drag strip, an obstacle course, and a 40'x 72' pavilion.
