Go hiking together – Anderson County has over 400 miles of trails, so finding a place to hike is easy. If you’re looking for a place to get your heart pumping, check out some of the trails at Norris Dam State Park or Haw Ridge Park. If you want something relaxing and scenic, TVA’s Songbird Loop is a great option. It’s a flat 2 mile loop that runs along the beautiful Clinch River with views of Norris Dam. Take a drive together- With a number of scenic driving trails, you can explore Anderson County from the comfort of your car. You will see important historical landmarks and admire stunning views of East Tennessee. A couple of recommended driving trails are the Devil’s Triangle that starts in Rocky Top and goes to Morgan County and the Southern Settlement Trail that takes you to the Cumberland Gap and back. Fun day at the shooting range – It may be a bit unconventional, but an incredibly fun and exciting date! The Windrock Park Shooting Range offers targets and ranges for different experience levels and they also have rental firearms including full auto that even a seasoned shooter will enjoy! In addition, they offer professional firearms training, courses and seminars and private lessons.
